Brazil’s Datagro lowered its forecast for the soybean production in Brazil in 2022/23 by 1.1 million tons to 152.2 million tons (125.6 in 2021/22).

– Over the period of 01.07 – 21.12.2022, the export of grain from Ukraine reached 20,601 million tons (30,122 a year earlier), including 2,718 million tons in December (4,016). Wheat exports were 7,647 million tons (15,619), barley exports reached 1,551 million tons (5,111) and corn exports were 11,321 million tons (9,062).

– In the first fifteen weeks of the season, EU rapeseed oil imports reached 248,600 tonnes (298,600 a year earlier). The biggest buyers were Lithuania with 58,100 tons, Poland with 57,900 tons and Latvia with 51,900 tons. The biggest suppliers were Belarus with 113,800 tons (53,100) and Ukraine with 41,300 tons (124,500).

– US and Mexican government delegations have agreed to delay the import ban on GM corn to Mexico until 2025.

– Chicago commodity funds were net buyers of 1,000 wheat contracts, 1,500 corn contracts and 6,500 soybean contracts yesterday.

The corn production is projected at 127.9 million tons (-1.6 and +14.8), including first corn production of 25.2 million tons (+0.2) and second corn production of 102.6 million tons (+16.7).

– According to Chinese statistics, the import of American soybeans into the country reached 3.38 million tons in November, and 2.54 million tons were imported from Brazil. Total deliveries for the month were 7.35 million tons (-14% compared to November 2021). During the first 11 months of the year, soybean imports totaled 51.83 million tons from Brazil (56.5 a year earlier), and 23.01 million tons came from the United States (25.2).

– In the current season, the wheat production in South Africa will be 2.429 million tons, which is 2% less than the previous year. The barley production will be 356,900 tons (334,000). The USDA forecasts wheat imports of 1.65 million tons for the year. Over the October-November period, wheat supplies from Russia were 159,100 tons.

– November soymeal exports from India reached 164,070 tons (40,200 tons in October), a 21-month high, according to SEA data.

– Over the September-November period, sunseed processing in Ukraine reached 3.3 million tons (10.3 forecast for the entire season and -11% compared to 2021/22).
