According to ANEC’s estimate, 3.57 million tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil in October (3.69 in September and 2.98 in October 2021).

– From the beginning of the season to 04.11.2022, 13.87 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine (20.434 a year earlier), including 668,000 tons in November (1.024 million tons). 5.211 million tons of wheat (12.815), 1.164 million tons of barley (4.52) and 7.44 million tons of corn (2.831) were exported.

– As of 03.11.2022, 8 million hectares of grain crops were harvested in Ukraine (72% of the area), with 32.6 million tons of grain harvested at an average yield of 4.07 tons/hectare. Corn was harvested on 27% of the areas and 6.3 million tons of corn were harvested. Sunseed has been harvested on 87% of the areas and 9 million tons of sunseed have been harvested.

– According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of 31.10.2022, 84% of the planned areas were sown with winter soft wheat in France (+11% for the week and 77% a year earlier). 34% of the planned areas have been sown with durum (+27% and 23%) and 93% with winter barley (+13% and 89%). Corn has been harvested on 99% of the areas (+3% and 70%).

– In 2022/23, wheat production in Poland reached a record level of 13.5 million tons (+11% compared to 2021/22). The total grain production is 36 million tons (+4%).

– On Friday, Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 5,500 contracts of corn, 4,500 contracts of soybeans and 1,000 contracts of wheat.

– According to ANEC’s estimate, 3.57 million tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil in October (3.69 in September and 2.98 in October 2021). From the beginning of 2022, exports were 74.45 million tons (81.95 a year earlier), and China received 68% of the amount. During the month, soymeal exports reached 1.82 million tons (+3.6% and 1.34), and since the beginning of the season they totaled 17.73 million tons (+26%), with the largest customers being Indonesia with 15%, Thailand with 14%, the Netherlands with 10% and Vietnam with a share of 8%. The export of corn was 6.24 million tons in September (-7% and 1.87), and from the beginning of the season they totaled 31.89 million tons, the largest customers being Iran with 18%, Spain with 13%, Egypt with 11% and Japan with 10%.

– According to HedgePoint’s forecast, the soybean production in Brazil will not reach 150 million tons in 2022/23 due to La Niña activity over the December-January period.

– According to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the export of feed barley from Australia reached 662,400 tons in September (495,400 in August), including 335,500 tons to Saudi Arabia. From the beginning of 2021/22, exports reached 7.19 million tons, including 3.17 million tons for Saudi Arabia, 1 million tons for Japan and 500,000 tons for Jordan. The export of sorghum in September was 229,500 tons, and since the beginning of the season total exports reach 2.24 million tons, including 1.92 million tons for China.

– Iraq has purchased 150,000 tons of durum wheat most likely from Canada, Lithuania and Australia at a price of 480 – 499 USD/ton C&F.

– Oil World forecasts world palm oil production in 2022/23 of 78.3 million tons, which is 2.9 million tons above the 2021/22 level.
