According to Ukroliyaprom’s forecast, the production of oil crops in Ukraine will reach 19.484 million tons in 2023/24 (+1.467 compared to 2022/23).
– In the week starting from 12.04.2023, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 5,339.4 rubles/ton (5,179.4 a week earlier). The export tax on barley will be 1,646.7 rubles/ton (799.4) and 3,185.7 rubles/ton on corn (2,943.6).
– The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia forecasts a grain production in the country in 2023 of 120 million tons. In December, a production of 125-127 million tons was expected, including wheat production of 80-85 million tons. The oil crops production is projected at 24.6 million tons (29.1 in 2022).
– As of April 6, 2023, 126,700 hectares of spring wheat, 376,600 hectares of spring barley, and 210,000 hectares of sunseed have been sown in Ukraine.
– According to Ukroliyaprom’s forecast, the production of oil crops in Ukraine will reach 19.484 million tons in 2023/24 (+1.467 compared to 2022/23). The sunseed production is expected at 11.813 million tons (+6.5%), rapeseed production is estimated at 3.564 million tons (+9%) and soybean production is projected at 4.07 million tons (+12.2%).
– Over the period of 01.07.2022 – 07.04.2023, 38.615 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine (45.138 a year earlier), including 639,000 tons in April (195,000). 13.265 million tons of wheat (18.441), 2.296 million tons of barley (5.648) and 22.733 million tons of corn (20.586) were exported.
– The Ukrainian grain that will be transported through Poland will travel directly for export without being transshipped in the country. It will reach Polish ports or Poland’s neighboring countries without being unloaded in the country.
– Kazakhstan plans to send to China 30 train sets each month, each with at least 45 grain wagons loaded with wheat. Thus, the monthly export will reach 100,000 tons.
– According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of 04/03/2023, 93% of winter soft wheat crops in France were in good and excellent condition (92% a year earlier), as well a s 92% of winter barley (88%) and 97% of spring barley crops ( 92%).
– According to a forecast by Safras&Mercado, in April, corn exports from Argentina could reach 746,580 tons (-64% compared to March). Since the beginning of April, there are still no reported exports of corn from the country. In March, exports reached a record 2.09 million tons.
– In March, palm oil stocks in Malaysia fell to 2 million tons, the lowest level in the last eight months. The production during the month was 1.28 million tons (+2%), and exports reached 1.39 million tons (+25%). Demand for palm oil from Malaysia is high due to restrictions on exports from Indonesia.
– Egypt’s state company GASC bought this week 600,000 tons of Russian wheat. With this purchase since the beginning of the season, the quantity reaches 7.4 million tons, and the share of Russian wheat in Egyptian imports is 80%. The price of the last 600,000 tons of Russian wheat was 275 USD/ton FOB (270 a week earlier). Thus, American wheat during the week was offered at a price of 286 USD/ton (-10), and French wheat was offered at 286 USD/ton (-10).
– Jordan has refused to buy milling wheat in the last tender. However, 60,000 tons of barley were purchased at a price of 265.50 USD/ton C&F and delivery within September 1-15.
– Morocco plans to purchase 1.5 million tons of wheat with delivery within March-May. Of this amount, 508,000 tons have already been delivered, including 300,000 tons from France, 115,000 tons from Germany and 30,000 tons from Poland.
