Over the period of July – early November, the largest importer of wheat in the EU was Ukraine with 1.5 million tons (188,000 a year earlier).

– According to data from Rusagrotrans, the wheat production in Russia will reach 101.5 million tons of net weight in 2022. The forecast for exports in November remains unchanged at 5 – 5.2 million tons (4.8 in October and 2.9 in November 2021), and in the first half of December the forecast is at 1.4 million tons. Over the July-November period, exports will be 20.2 million tons (+1.7 compared to 2021/22).

– In the week starting on 16.11.2022, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 2,922.1 rubles/ton (3,012 a week earlier). The export tax on barley will be 2,686.7 rubles/ton (2,495.6) and the export tax on corn will be 447.5 rubles/ton (1,114.3).

– The export tax for the export of fertilizers from Russia will be 23.5%.

– According to the USDA forecast, Ukraine will export 3.6 million tons of sunseed oil in 2022/23, 2.75 million tons of sunseed meal and 1.95 million tons of sunseed seeds.

– As of 01.11.2022, grain stocks in Kazakhstan were 19.44 million tons (+0.897 compared to the beginning of October), including wheat stocks of 15.64 million tons.

– Over the period of July – early November, the largest importer of wheat in the EU was Ukraine with 1.5 million tons (188,000 a year earlier), followed by Great Britain with 379,000 tons (155,000), Canada with 179,000 tons (49,000), Moldova with 113,000 tons ( 86,000) and Serbia with 110,000 tons (164,000). Barley imports from Ukraine were 270,000 tons (down 4,000) and corn imports were 4 million tons (1.2).

– On Friday, Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 2,500 contracts of corn and 6,500 contracts of wheat and fifth buyers of 5,000 contracts of soybeans.

– Conab lowered its forecast for the 2022/23 corn production in Brazil by 0.5 million tons to 126.4 million tons (112.8 in 2021/22). The first corn production is projected at 28.2 million tons (-0.5 and +3.2), and the second corn production is expected at 96.3 million tons (unchanged and +10.7). Domestic corn consumption will be 81.8 million tons (+4.8 compared to last season), corn exports will reach 45 million tons (+6.5), and ending corn stocks are estimated at 9.8 million tons (+2.2).

– The authorities in India are considering the possibilities to lower the domestic price of wheat, which as of 10/11/2022 is 324.18 USD/ton, which is 27% higher compared to May, when the export ban was introduced. Analysts believe that the government will not be able to sell wheat from its stocks, which at the beginning of October were 22.7 million tons (46.9 a year earlier).

– Egypt’s state-owned company GASC has purchased through a bilateral contract 280,000 tons of Russian wheat at a price of 362.50 USD/ton FOB and delivery in December.

– SEA predicts that in 2025/26 the consumption of edible oils in India will be 26 – 27 million tons compared to 22.7 – 23 million tons in 2021/22.

– Nine companies from Indonesia have signed a contract to supply 2.5 million tons of palm oil to China worth 2.6 billion USD. In 2021, oil supplies from Indonesia to China were 6.6 million tons.

– The State Company of Egypt GASC has purchased 6,000 tons of sunseed oil at a price of 1,474 USD/ton C&F and delivery within 20.12.2022 – 05.01.2023.
